Arusha to Lake Natron — Summit Preparation
Depart Arusha early and travel 5–6 hours north through the Great Rift Valley, past Maasai villages and volcanic scenery, to Lake Natron with Ol Doinyo Lengai rising from the valley floor. Lunch at the lodge, an afternoon to relax, explore the lakeshore or visit a Maasai community, then an early dinner and a few hours' rest before waking around 11 PM for the climb.

Summit Ol Doinyo Lengai, Return to Arusha
Around midnight, begin the steep 4–7 hour ascent with experienced Maasai guides, reaching the summit at dawn for one of East Africa's most spectacular sunrises over Lake Natron, the Rift Valley escarpment, Mount Meru and the active volcanic craters. Descend to the base, transfer to the lodge for a shower and brunch, then drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
