Fly Camp – A Backpacking Adventure with Vehicle Support







On this adventurous walking safari you will spend most of your nights in tents under the stars. The trip is 15 days long excluding departure and arrival days. In those days will find the nights are useful to our Out-night-Bars shows will be arranged around the city according to the interesting.


DAY 1: Arusha to Lake Eyasi

Drive from Arusha to Lake Eyasi via Lake Manyara National Park where you will enjoy a short game drive. Overnight at Lake Eyasi Bushman Camp in tents.


DAY 2: A Visit to the Hadzabe

In the morning you will set out with backpacks full of food and a few essentials. Your destination is the deep forest surrounding Lake Eyasi, where you will encounter the reclusive Hadzabe, hunter-gatherers still clinging to their traditional lifestyle. In the late afternoon you will go out with the people to gather, and possibly hunt, for food. At night you will sleep under the stars or mosquito nets at the Hadzabe camp.


Day 3: Hunting and Gathering

Early in the morning, before sunrise, you again will go hunting and gathering with your Hadzabe hosts. You will learn about the uses of various plants as traditional medicines. After breakfast you will hike to the shores of Lake Eyasi, watching birds and small mammals and overnight once more under the stars with your local Hadzabe guides.


DAY 4: Datoga Culture

The trek continues with our backpacks. Along the way you will meet our food re-supply truck carrying fresh produce and dry rations. After a short break, you resume your trip to Qangden village where we will encounter another culture, the pastoralist Datoga, also known as Mang’ati. They have a long history in the area and were displaced from the Ngorongoro Highlands and Crater to Lake Eyasi about 200 years ago by the Maasai.


DAY 5: Walking to Kisimangeda village

walking again along the lakeshore you will arrive after a few hours at Kisimangeda village. The breeze from the lake will cool your bodies from the heat of the day. This will be another night under the stars and the day you say goodbye to your Datoga guides.


DAY 6: To the Top of the Rift Valley Wall

In the early morning, after breakfast, we set off from the camp to start our climb up the walls of the Rift Valley. Camp will be set just on top of the cliff, under the stars, as usual. The nights can be chilly here, so be sure to take a light sweater or jacket with you.


DAY 7: Olduvai Gorge and Maasai Culture

You will wake up as the sun rises and we will head to a new tent camp location, where your cook will have already prepared a sumptuous breakfast. And this is a great time to finally have a hot shower! Afterwards you will go by car to visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most famous and important prehistoric archaeological sites. Nearby, at a Maasai boma (village), you will enjoy a traditional goat roast, see the blood drinking ceremonies and dancing.


DAY 8: Ngorongoro Crater and Back to Arusha

In the early morning you will leave in the vehicles with a packed lunch to visit one of the natural wonders of the world, the famous Ngorongoro Crater. It is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and home to tens of thousands of large animals such as elephants, wildebeest, zebras, lions, hippos, and even the rare black rhinoceros. In the afternoon you will drive back to Arusha via Karatu and off to home or another adventure.


Day 9: Flight to Zanzibar

A morning after safari takes your own few moments preparing yourself for a flight to Zanzibar. Our driver will come at the hotel around 10:00am to offer a transfer to Kilimanjaro Air Port where you will board to your flight to Zanzibar to start your another coastal cultural tour and beach holiday in Zanzibar; our representative will meet you and transfer to Dhow Palace Hotel or Karafuu Resort in stone town for dinner and overnight


Day 10: Zanzibar City

Tour After breakfast you will be picked up by our guide from the hotel and go for a city tour within stone town. Experience the city and the true culture of Zanzibar, Visit the famous House of wonder, the sultan Palace, the old museum and the old market where you can shop for various fruits, souvenirs and spices. You will also see the cathedral Church and the old dispensary. Walk through the the famous alleys of Zanzibar, intermingling with the local people and enjoy the aroma of coffee and spices around you. You can also visit the numerous shops that are available in stone town. Dinner and overnight at Dhow Palace Hotel or Karafuu Resort Meals: Bed & Breakfast


Day 11: Zanzibar Spice Tour

Depart from the hotel and drive through the countryside of Zanzibar, to the plantations, where you can sample the various spices i.e. ginger, Cardamom, Lemon Grass and cinnamon etc that are grown and which are the No 1 export products of Zanzibar. And of course the reason Zanzibar is originally famous and known as The Spice Island. You also sample the fruits that are in abundance at the farms, some very exotic and very tasty. After that we invite you for lunch at the spice tour restaurant where you will have lunch and taste the spices as they are used in food preparation. Accommodation: Ocean Paradise Resort or Karafuu Resort Meals: Half board basis


Day 12: Zanzibar Beach Leisure

Today it’s your first day to enjoy your relax day in the white sandy beach of Zanzibar and sunshine at your luxurious Zanzibar beach resort Bluebag Beach Resort or Karafuu Beach Resort Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner.


Day 13: Zanzibar Beach Leisure

Another day of leisure to enjoy the white sandy beach of Zanzibar at your luxurious Zanzibar beach resort, or optional excursion for Scuba diving, Snorkeling, Deep sea fishing which can be arranged by Safari Porini representative or direct from your hotel, Blue bay Beach Resort or Ocean Paradise Beach Resort Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner.


Day 14: On your Leisure

your third day of beach holiday will give you an extra enjoyment to the sunshine at your luxurious Zanzibar beach resort Blue bay Beach Resort or Ocean Paradise Beach Resort – 5 Star. Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner Zanzibar Beach holiday


DAY 15: Transfer to Airport

After a late morning woken up and have breakfast then you will be transferred to the airport to Dar or Nairobi to connect flight back home after a long Tanzania holiday
